    I must be outta my everlovin' gourd… :-} Trying again; done the Downs and the first relic quest A new wrinkle in v2.3.5: the active melee style now switches from Bearform combat back to Weapon combat when bear form wears off, so I have to remember to switch it back each time. [Actually, I just rewrote my activate-bear-form macro to also automatically switch to Bearform combat, but who's counting? ;)]

    Done Orc Cave and the second and third relic quests (much easier now that I have the Vision spell up to wiz-lite levels). Essence of Speed is now high enough to make this guy a decent fighting machine.

    Done Mirkwood. Nothing much of note, beyond finally biting the bullet and doing the Lothlorien Old Mage quest to fireproof and start using some of my Tomes.

    Well, that was comparatively slog-free as Moria runs go. Maybe my amazing speed actually outpaced Moria's insane monster regeneration rate (or maybe my small inventory meant fewer sell-off trips topside…). This is at the midpoint of Moria; some kit improvements, and turning out to be surprisingly deadly. No more relic quests yet, which worries me just a bit.

    Man, that was practically an express elevator, as Moria runs go. I think the secret really is all that inventory space (plus not being so eager to haul loot back up to sell…). Also done the fourth relic quest, so I'm less worried about getting the fifth. I'm thinking Land of Mountains next, to try for Trone's coat.

    Man, the Land of Mountains is downright sedate compared to Moria. This is through the midpoint; a few nice equipment upgrades, and ran into my first Nazgûl…

    Done Land of Mountains. I'm actually starting to get worried about his damage dealing capability; ten turns to kill a Great Wyrm leaves them lots of time to cause trouble. Also finally got the fifth relic quest, which I'm putting off until level 50. Dol Guldur is next, unless I decide to hit some side dungeons looking for dungeon towns.
