// The skill point plan is to max Necromancy, Weaponmastery, Monster-lore
// and Corpse-preservation, push Combat to 20, buy Spread blows and both
// the Extra Max Blow abilities, scatter a few points around for utility
// spells, and dump the rest into Magic (and take a hit of Summoning from
// FF first chance I get). Monster-lore and Corpse-preservation got short
// shrift in the early game, since I needed Necromancy and Weaponmastery
// more in the early game; when those caught up to level+4 (thanks in no
// small part to some strategically directed FF gifts), I started pushing
// Monster-lore, and now that it's caught up, Corpse-preservation is
// bringing up the proverbial rear.

Abilities
 * Extra Max Blow(1)
// By my calculations, I won't be able to buy Extra Max Blow(2) until I
// top everything else off, because it's the ripple effect from Weapon-
// mastery that will finally push me up to 20 Combat.
 * Perfect casting
 * Spread blows
 * Undead Form

    It's a compulsion, I tells ya… :-} Inspired by the December 2005 learning competition at the Wiki, and the first DitL in my Learning Competition Rejects™ collection.

    Done Mirkwood. Feeling a little better about his survival odds now (well, except for that Death quasit princess quest I had to Thunderlord past… :-}). Even finally got the hit of Summoning I wanted for my emergency get-out-of-Undead-Form plan.

    In a pickle: ran into Waldern in Orc Town. Putting this up for now while I try to think of a way out of this. I'm not hopeful… :-\

    With the much appreciated help of my DitL audience, successfully got Ruk past Waldern (and Ariel…) in Orc Town and on to mid-Moria. Uniques, you see, are supposed to be immune to Necromancy's Death power, but thanks to a handy bug, they aren't. >;) Also got the opportunity to start branching out into the raise-an-undead-army part of my long-term character plan, with the recent acquisition of a companion Zombie Great crystal drake. I hope to expand this stable substantially in the future. ;)

    Finished Moria. I'm peeved; I had a couple really nice companions going, and a mere level from the end of Moria, they got wrecked by a @#$%ing Chaos vortex. Otherwise, some nice speed improvements, but not enough hit point improvements for my comfort. Either Mordor or Land of Mountains is next.
