Axemaster is another class I haven't played in ToME, and Ent seemed like the obvious choice of race (well, obvious to someone whose arsenal includes a female Dwarf Druid and a Yeek Polearmmaster, at least…). And yes, this particular combination has been done before, but not as an Entwife, I think (still trying to nudge my roster back toward gender parity, after all). She's as deadly as you might imagine, but the -5 speed is as annoying as you might imagine. This is through the Downs; first relic quest is pending, but I got it late enough that I'm skittish to do it right away.

Done Orc Cave and the first relic quest—though as late as I left it, I worry about getting all the rest. [Note to self: worship Manwe next time, idiot…]

Swept Mirkwood, and completed the second relic quest thanks to the lucky acquisition of several Potions of Enlightenment (and the very lucky tiny level when the relic actually showed). I'm not quite so worried about getting all five now. Nothing much of note, beyond the new axe… ;)

Ye gods, Moria is a slog. I swear, I'd gained three levels before I even made it past MoM 30… This is as of the midpoint of Moria; done the third and fourth relic quests and received the fifth, which I'm in no hurry to do.

Man, after playing a bunch of ridiculously fast characters, it's kind of a culture shock running around barely above normal speed. [Note to self: seriously, worship Manwe next time, idiot.] Finished Moria, finally, and the fifth relic quest. Probably Land of Mountains next, for a certain source of fire immunity… >;)
